It's been only a year since President Lee Myung Bak took office,

 however, our nation's foundation of liberal democracy is on the verge of collapsing.

이명박 대통령이 취임한 지 이제 겨우 1년, 대한민국의 자유민주주의 기반이 흔들리고 있습니다.

 
 The ruling Grand National Party  tring to push a legislation to restrict the freedom of speech

 without agreement of the opposition.

한나라당이 합의 없이 언론의 자유를 규제하는 법안을 밀어붙이고 있습니다.

 In Korea, this is called 'Nal chi gi', which means 'rushing the bill through'.

한국에서는 이것을 날치기라 부릅니다.

This is raising a lot of public anger, and our nation is on the  brink of losing our freedom of speech.

이 악법은 온 국민의 분노를 부르고 있고, 대한민국은 언론 자유를 잃을 위기에 처해 있습니다.
