Historic Town of Sukhothai and Associated Historic Towns 수코타이

수코타이는 13-14세기를 걸쳐 형성된 태국 최초의 통일왕국이며, 그 수도이다.
1991년, 유네스코세계문화유산에 지정.

Sukhothai was the capital of the first Kingdom of Siam in the 13th and 14th centuries. It has a number of fine monuments, illustrating the beginnings of Thai architecture.
 The great civilization which evolved in the Kingdom of Sukhothai absorbed numerous nfluences and ancient local traditions;  the rapid assimilation of all these elements forged what is known as the 'Sukhothai style'.

Historic City of Ayutthaya 아유타야

 

1350년 설립된, 아유타야는 수코타이 이후 태국의 2번째 통일왕국의 수도가 되지만, 18세기에 침입한 버마에 의해, 도시 대부분이 파괴되어버렸다.
수코타이와 함께 1991년 유네스코 세계문화유산에 지정되었다.

Founded c. 1350, Ayutthaya became the second Siamese capital after Sukhothai. It was destroyed by the Burmese in the 18th century. Its remains, characterized by the prang (reliquary towers) and gigantic monasteries, give an idea of its past splendour.


이곳에서 사진을 찍을려면, 반드시 앉아서 찍어야 한다. 부처님 상보다 높으면 안된다고 한다.

Taj Mahal 타지마할

 

우유빛 대리석으로 유명한 타지마할은 사랑하는 부인의 죽음을 애도한 무굴제국의 샤하자한 황제가 부인을 기념하기 위해, 인도 아그라 야무나강변에 1631년부터 1628년 사이에 건설한 것이다. 1983년 유네스코 세계문화유산.

An immense mausoleum of white marble, built in Agra between 1631 and 1648 by order of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favourite wife, the Taj Mahal is the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage.

 

Agra Fort 아그라포트

 

타지마할과 함께 1983년 세계문화유산이 된 아그라포트는 아그라의 레드포트로 알려져 있으며, 실제 무굴제국의 전성기 황제들은 여기에 거주하며, 제국을 통치했다. 타지마할을 건설한 샤하자한은 그의 아들 아우랑제브에게 폐위당해, 이곳에 갇혀 타지마할만을 바라보며 남은 여생을 마감한다.

Agra Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Agra, India. The fort is also known as Lal Qila, Fort Rouge and Red Fort of Agra. It is about 2.5 km northwest of its much more famous sister monument, the Taj Mahal. The fort can be more accurately described as a walled palatial city.

Mount Tai 태산

 

태산은 중국역사상 2000여년 동안 황제가 하늘에 봉선의식을 행하던 곳으로 중국인들에게 매우 신성시 되어온 산이며, 중국 5대 명산이 오악(五岳:항산, 태산, 형산, 화산, 숭산)중 하나이다.
1987년 세계자연유산에 등재, 중국 산동성 위치

The sacred Mount Tai ('shan' means 'mountain') was the object of an imperial cult for nearly 2,000 years, and the artistic masterpieces found there are in perfect harmony with the natural landscape. It has always been a source of inspiration for Chinese artists and scholars and symbolizes ancient Chinese civilizations and beliefs.

태산 하늘길

 Mount Huangshan 황산 비래석

 

중국에서 가장 사랑받는 황산은 산수화의 대표적인 배경으로서 중국역사상 문학과 예술에서 칭송받아왔다.
특히, 중국인들은 “오악귀래불간산(五岳歸來不看山), 황산귀래불간악(黃山歸來不看岳)”이라 하여,
황산에 오르면 오악조차 눈에 들어오지 않는다고 했다.

황산은 1990년 세계자연유산에 등재되었다. 중국 안휘성에 위치.

Huangshan, known as 'the loveliest mountain of China', was acclaimed through art and literature during a good part of Chinese history (e.g. the Shanshui 'mountain and water' style of the mid-16th century). Today it holds the same fascination for visitors, poets, painters and photographers who come on pilgrimage to the site, which is renowned for its magnificent scenery made up of many granite peaks and rocks emerging out of a sea of clouds.

Sunrise at Angkor Wat 앙코르왓의 일출

 

앙코르는 9세기에서 15세기까지 동남아 전역을 지배한 크메르제국의 수도였다. 대표적인 유적으로서 사원인 앙코르왓과 왕성인 앙코르톰이 유명하다.
1992년 세계문화유산에 등재되었으며, 캄보디아 시엡리업에 위치.

Angkor is a name conventionally applied to the region of Cambodia serving as the seat of the Khmer empire that flourished from approximately the 9th century to the 15th century A.D.
It includes the famous Temple of Angkor Wat and, at Angkor Thom, the Bayon Temple with its countless sculptural decorations.
